Interesting

My grandma was going through some of her boxes from the move and found a bunch of old recipes and some even from her mother. She gave them to me and as I was going through them I found this advertisement and found it to be very interesting. It lists the accessories for the mixer between $13 and $25 and now (at Bed Bath & Beyond) they are listed at $100 or more. Like I said...interesting.

Sad Day

Sir Toddrick Forciea
My mom called me today and informed me that my brother's dog, Todd, had died last night. They think it was a stroke. Todd had been with our family since my brother turned 8. The Primary President of our ward at the time had a female dog that had puppies and told my parents they could pick one out for Zach for his birthday. Well, Zach and I went over to her house to look at them and Todd came right up to Zach as if to say, "You're my person." My parents hadn't told Zach we were getting one, it was a surprise for his birthday. My older sister and I took turns carrying Todd to our house on Zach's birthday and such love for an animal I have never seen on a person's face like I saw on my brother's. He was a good dog and I will really miss him.

Grandpa Perry

Whenever they looked at a house, he had to first inspect the size of the tub :D
It has been 5 years, this month, since my Grandpa passed away.
He was the most kind, gentle man in the world and I miss him dearly.
Remembering, and still loving, Alden Park Perry.

Happy Birthday, John Lennon

Imagine
Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

In preparation for my midterm tomorrow, I came across this quote from Thomas Paine:

These are the times that try men's souls: The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom should not be highly rated Thomas Paine, The Crisis

Just thought I'd share :)
