Thanksgiving

Ok, this post is a little late, but here it is. We had Turkey Day dinner at my parents' house and then had another dinner the next day with Jared's Beadle family. We ate a lot of food and had a lot of fun. Here are pictures of the yummies Vicky and I made.

Plus Vicky made some extras later. 12 pies and one fruit salad concoction my mama requested I make. We ended up with a grand total of 14 pies, though. I was going to post pictures of individual pies, but I don't feel like it. We made pumpkin, lemon, apple, chocolate, pecan, turtle cheesecake pie and a strange oatmeal pie Vicky decided to make in order to use the last pie shell, lol. It was a lot of fun!

Holidays

I love this time of year. It's my favorite. The leaves changing colors, snow starting to fall. I love picking out gifts for people and decorating for Christmas. I absolutely love Christmas trees, real ones. I love the way they smell and decorating them with the ornaments my parents gave me. I love picking out ornaments now for my own children. I love the smell of cookies and other yummies baking. I love Christmas movies and Christmas music. I love to sit in front of a fire, snuggled up with my husband and my babies wrapped up in a blanket. What I really love is the way I feel at Christmas. Like everything is good and everyone is alright. I really love this time of year.

Party

Jared's birthday is not for a couple of days, but since his new schedule for work keeps him away Sun-Wed and Thursdays, we had a party tonight! Silly us, we didn't take any pictures, but we had a lot of fun and for once, I had dinner ready ON TIME!!! Woohoo! And all the party guests were ON TIME!!! More woohoo! We had yummy lasagna (made by me), a yummy salad (made by Blake&Aubrie) and SUPER yummy garlic/cheese bread for dinner with 3 kinds of lemonade and coffee cake. Jared got some cool shirts, Scarface, B&N gift card and some candy. All in all a good night. :D

On another note, I went to my best friend's bridal shower this morning with my mom and gave her our present. :D A really cute nightie for the honeymoon. I can't believe she is getting married in 4 1/2 weeks! She looks so happy and you can see how good they are together in the first  minutes of talking to them. I am so happy for her!
